Let’s Understand Nakshatra or Birth Star
Birth stars or Nakshatras are divisions of zodiac. Zodiac is made up of 360 degrees and it’s further divided into 27 Nakshatras. Each Nakshatra holds 13 degrees and 20 minutes of the portion. Each Nakshatras has to be understood separately in order to generate predictions about the stars and their movements. Some of the Nakshatras flank between signs of zodiac, so one Nakshatra may fall in two different zodiac signs.
It’s the position of the moon in the particular nakshatra which decides the birth star of the native. So Nakshatras are basically steady stars which cannot move. They remain in one place in the sky and the planets move through these Nakshatras.
