What is Rahu?

Rahu is considered to be a snake as per the old Indian mythology that eats up the Sun resulting in an eclipse. Rahu Kaal is considered to be malicious and believed to bring bad luck because of its association with the monster Rahu!

The trick is to avoid the Rahu-Kaal and continue with the normal activities during the other part of the day. Obviously, some of the important tasks have to be carried out, and they cannot be avoided. In such a case, Chanting of Hanuman Chalisa should be done, and jaggery & Panchamrit should be offered to the Lord Hanuman. If you can eat this Prasad before the commencement of your work, then the malicious effects of Rahu can be toned down!

The Rahu Kaal is known by different names like Rahu Kalaam, Rahukalam, Rahu kal, Rahukalam & Rahukal!
