How To Calculate Rahukalam Timings Today
In Vedic Astrology, there is a specific and direct way of calculating the Rahu Kaal for each day. As per the vedic calculations, the time between Sunrise and Sunset is split into 8 equal segments. In this calculation, the time for Sunrise is considered as 6:00 AM and Sunset as 6:00 PM. This shows that the day lasts for 12 Hours, hence, these 12 Hours are divided into 8 equal parts, giving every segment a period of 1.5 Hours.
Rahu Kaal is not considered auspicious for starting a new business or events. Although, there is no problem in continuing daily activities already started in an auspicious muhurat. In situations when you cannot avoid doing important tasks during the Rahu Kaal, then it is advised to worship Lord Hanuman by offering panchamrit and jaggery and reading Hanuman Chalisa. Consuming this prasad before starting auspicious work will keep the malefic effects of Rahu away.
