Devi Skandamata Ki Vrat Katha In Hindi

नवरात्रि के पंचम दिन मां दुर्गा के स्कंदमाता स्वरूप की पूजा की जाती है। स्कंद माता का रूप सौंदर्य अद्वितिय आभा लिए शुभ्र वर्ण का होता है। वात्सल्य की मूर्ति हैं स्कंद माता। मान्यता अनुसार संतान प्राप्ति हेतु मां स्कंदमाता की पूजा की जाती है।

श्री स्कंद (कुमार कार्तिकेय) की माता होने के कारण ही इनका नाम स्कंदमाता पड़ा है. नवरात्री के पांचवे दिन इनकी पूजा करने का विधान है. इनके विषय में ऐसी मान्यता है कि जब पृथ्वी प्र असुरों का अत्याचार बहुत अधिक बढ़ गया था तब स्कंदमाता ने अपने संत जनों की रक्षा के लिए सिंह पर सवार होकर दुष्ट दानवों का संहार किया था.

मान्यता है कि स्कंदमाता सूर्यमंडल की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं, इनकी साधना करने से भक्त अलौकिक तेज प्राप्त करता है। इसके साथ ही मां अपने भक्तों के सभी दुखों का निवारण करती है, उनके लिए मोक्ष का द्वार खोलती है।

मां का सुंदर रूप कुछ इस प्रकार है- देवी स्कंदमाता कमल के पुष्प पर विराजित अभय मुद्रा में होती हैं। मां का रूप बहुत निराला है, उनके रूप में एक अजब प्रकार का तेज होता है। पौराणिक तथ्यों के अनुसार स्कंदमाता ही हिमालय की पुत्री पार्वती हैं, जिन्हें माहेश्वरी और गौरी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

स्कंदमाता की चार भुजाएं हैं जिनमें से माता ने अपने दो हाथों में कमल का फूल पकड़ा हुआ है। उनकी एक भुजा ऊपर की ओर उठी हुई है जिससे वह भक्तों को आशीर्वाद देती हैं तथा एक हाथ से उन्होंने गोद में बैठे अपने पुत्र स्कंद को पकड़ा हुआ है। इनका वाहन सिंह है।

Devi Skandmata Puja Vidhi In Hindi

सबसे पहले चौकी (बाजोट) पर स्कंदमाता की प्रतिमा या तस्वीर स्थापित करें। इसके बाद गंगा जल या गोमूत्र से शुद्धिकरण करें। चौकी पर चांदी, तांबे या मिट्टी के घड़े में जल भरकर उस पर कलश रखें। उसी चौकी पर श्रीगणेश, वरुण, नवग्रह, षोडश मातृका (16 देवी), सप्त घृत मातृका (सात सिंदूर की बिंदी लगाएं) की स्थापना भी करें। इसके बाद व्रत, पूजन का संकल्प लें और वैदिक एवं सप्तशती मंत्रों द्वारा स्कंदमाता सहित समस्त स्थापित देवताओं की षोडशोपचार पूजा करें। इसमें आवाहन, आसन, पाद्य, अध्र्य, आचमन, स्नान, वस्त्र, सौभाग्य सूत्र, चंदन, रोली, हल्दी, सिंदूर, दुर्वा, बिल्वपत्र, आभूषण, पुष्प-हार, सुगंधित द्रव्य, धूप-दीप, नैवेद्य, फल, पान, दक्षिणा, आरती, प्रदक्षिणा, मंत्र पुष्पांजलि आदि करें। तत्पश्चात प्रसाद वितरण कर पूजन संपन्न करें।

Navratri is celebrated with a great deal of enthusiasm in every part of India. Navratri i.e. 9 nights is a 9 day-long celebration with each day holding a distinct significance. It is a festival dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine forms. Each day is associated with one form of Maa Durga. The fifth day of Navratri celebrations is dedicated to Maa Skandmaataa.

Skanda Mata

Origin - When Maa Parvati became the mother of Lord Skanda who is also popularly known as Lord Kartikeya, since then Maa Parvati is known as Skanda Mata. Planet Buddha is believed to be governed by Goddess Skandamata

‘Skanda Mata’ is considered as the fifth aspect of Mother Durga. Skanda Mata is the mother of Lord Kartikeya or Skanda who was picked out by the Gods as their commander in the battle against the demons.

The fifth day of the Navratri is dedicated to Skanda Mata. She is accompanied by Lord Skanda in the figure of an infant. She rides a Lion and takes her son Skanda in her lap.

She is said to have three eyes and four hands; two hands display granting and defending Mudras while the other two hold lotuses. Devi Skandmata is worshipped to achieve salvation, power & prosperity.

Navratri Katha Day 5 | Skandmata’s Katha

As per the fifth day Navratri Katha, a demon named Tarkasur did great penance to appease Lord Brahma. As a result, Lord Brahma appeared and granted him a boon that he will be killed only by the hands of Lord Shiva. According to Tarkasur, after the death of Devi Sati, Lord Shiva would never marry again and have a child. This will make him invincible and immortal. But, things didn’t go as he thought. Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvathi and as a result, “Skand” or “Kartikeya” was born. Lord Skand killed Tarkasur and being the mother of Lord Kartikeya, Devi Parvathi was named Skandmata or Devi Skandmata. 

Devi Skandamata’s Puja Vidhi In English

On the fifth day of Navratri, begin puja by setting up the idol of Maa Skand Mata. Later, purify the idol with Ganga Jal or Gaumutr. Do Kalash Sthapna by placing coconut on the water-filled pot of Silver, Copper, or Earth.

Now, take the Sankalpa for Puja and Vrat, then do Shodopchar puja of 5th Navratri Mata along with all established deities. Recite Vedic and Saptshati mantras. Then, offer all relevant Pujan Samagri to all the deities. Finally, sing Skandmata Aarti and listen to Skand Mata’s Katha. Once you finish the 5th-day Navratri aarti and Katha, distribute Prasad among family and friends.
